Toits de NY / Roofs of NYC

 Ce qui est intéressant à New-York c'est que quelque soit la direction dans laquelle vous regardez: devant vous, par terre, en l'air... il y a toujours des choses à voir! J'aime particulièrement le haut des immeubles très structuré, très carré. Avec des citernes, des cheminées partout...

GB: What I like in New-York is, whatever the way you look: behind you, on the ground, up in the air... there's always something interesting to see. I particularly love the top of the buildings which are very structrured, squarred. And all these tanks, these chimneys...

Pingeons sur la fenêtre / pigeons on my window

Des pigeons étaient postés sur mon rebord de fenêtre. On aurait dit qu'ils se faisaient la conversation. J'ai tenté ma chance: ouvrir la fenêtre, mais ils sont partis! Heureusement, je les avais pris la fenêtre fermée, aussi!

GB: There were pigeons on my window ledge. It seemed they had a natter. I tried my luck: I opened the window but they went away! Fortunatly, I had taken a picture when the window was closed! 

I LOVE NEW-YORK

 

J'ai pris ces quatre photos à New-York en 2009. J'aime bien ce mélange de gris fondu des immeubles, de l'asphalte et de couleurs "flash" des vêtements des personnes dans la rue, du drapeau américain... 

 GB: I took these pictures in New York City in 2009. I like that  mixing of grey of the buildings, the asphalt and the flashy colours of people walking in the street, the Amercian flag...

Voici quelques portraits que j'ai réalisés et où l'on ne devine qu'un oeil, une silhouette.

Entrée - Sortie / Entrance - Exit

Je me baladais dans les rues de Nantes quand j'ai vu ces deux portes de garage. Je me suis arrêtée net pour prendre une photo. J'aimais beaucoup le contraste entre le orange "flashy", le gris clair des grilles autour et le noir graphique du nom.

GB: These are the "entrance" and the "exit" of a car park. I was walking down the street of Nantes City (West of France) when I saw them; I stopped there to take a picture. I loved the contrast between that very flashy orange color of the door, the light grey of the gates around and the grafic black of the name.

Le petit garçon au Time Magazine / Little boy with Time Magazine

Aujourd'hui, je suis passée près de ma fameuse "trace rose" que je voulais prendre en photo. Malheureusement, il faisait un temps épouvantable, la lumière n'était vraiment pas belle; J'ai dû renoncer. Ce n'est que partie remise, bien entendu!

Par conséquent, ce soir au lieu d'une trace, une photo que j'aime bien: "Le petit garçon au Time Magazine". Elle date de 2011.

GB: Today I walked near by my "pink trace" I wanted to take a picture of. Unfortunatly, the weather was terrible, the light not good. I had to give up. That will be for another time!

Consequently, instead of a "trace", I show you a picture I really like: "Little boy with the Time Magazine". Taken in 2011.

"Who's that girl / boy?"

Je me mets au noir et blanc depuis peu (vous avez eu un aperçu avec les clichés de la place de la Liberté), mais la couleur reste mon domaine de prédilection. Et je voulais vous montrer ces deux photos prises à New-York pour le jeune-homme, et à Londres pour la jeune-femme.

Je ne sais pas qui est cet homme dont j'aime énormément la pose. Et cette femme, de dos avec ses cheveux rouges. 

Le titre du message en référence à la célèbre chanson de Madonna...
Pour continuer dans mon "délire Madonna", j'ajouterais pour la fille aux cheveux rouges, un titre: "Recherche Susan désespérément".

GB: I came to the white and black rather late (see my pictures of "Place de la Liberté"), but color is my real love. I wanted to show you this man and this woman taken in New-York and London. 

I don't know who they are. I just love the pose of that guy and the very red hair of that girl. 

The title of my post in reference to the famous song of Madonna...
And as I am in my "Madonna frenzy", I thaught I could add somthing to the title for the woman: "Desperately seeking Susan".

Des traces / Traces

J'ai trouvé ces deux traces sur mon chemin. J'avais mon appareil pour la jaune. Je suis retournée sur le site pour la bleue.

Il y en a une rose que j'aimerais prendre dans le quartier de Recouvrance et qui rejoindra rapidement ma "collection"!

 GB: I found these traces on my way. I had my camera for the yellow one, not for the blue one. I came back later on to take a picture of it. There's also a pink one I'd love to add to my "collection" very soon!

Brest autrement / another Brest City

 Brest autrement: c'est ainsi que j'ai eu envie de voir la ville un jour où il pleuvait (encore). Ce jour là, je n'ai pas pu sortir, et heureusement! Car le lendemain, il faisait beau et il me sembla que Brest était une autre.

GB. Differently: is the way I had to see the city I live in. No rain, no grey sky, just a city where there are things to be photographed. And fortunatly, this day the sun was there!
